PADI's "Bubblemaker" is a fantastic way to introduce a child to Scuba diving. Children have a great time playing games whilst experiencing the thrill of breathing underwater. Children are closely supervised at all times by our PADI scuba diving professionals.
The PADI Seal Team is for young divers looking for action packed fun. Through a series of "aqua missions" the 'seals' can find out what its like to dive with torches, take digital photos underwater and learn what it feels like to float effortlessly like an astronaut. Our PADI dive professionals will closely supervise and teach them safe diving techniques.
Your child's birthday is special, so why not make it extra special and celebrate it with a Bubblemaker Birthday Party!
Our kids pool parties are a really great idea for your children and their friends to celebrate their birthday. Kids love water and Bubblemaker Scuba diving party's introduce them to a whole new and exciting way to enjoy it.
They will learn how to use and enjoy the scuba equipment safely in a fun environment always under the close supervision and guidance of our PADI professionals.
You are free to watch them enjoying themselves and chill, (unless you fancy a go too). All the fun takes place in an indoor heated private pool. Parties are available most Tuesday evenings.
What's it like to breathe underwater?
The PADI Discover Scuba program is an ideal and in expensive way to experience all the thrills of Scuba diving in the safe confines of a swimming pool. Get ready to be "hooked" though! Most of us here at Academy divers started with a Discover Scuba diving experience. You'll love it!
Children from the age of 10 can take part in a Junior Open Water course. The course follows the same standards as the PADI Open water Course.
This is a great course for getting families with younger children diving together. It is also a natural progression for young divers who have previously completed our Seal Team Program.
PADI's Open Water Course offers people the most highly respected diving qualification in the world. PADI Open Water divers can dive anywhere in the world simply by presenting their personal identification card to a dive center.
Open Water divers can dive with their buddy, independent of a PADI professional.

This is a popular option for people who want to learn to dive and do not want to waste precious time on holiday in a classroom and pool.
Choose this option, and complete your theory development and pool training here in Soweby Bridge with our instructors before you go away. This leaves you free to complete your four open water dives at any PADI resort of your choice on holiday. There will be an extra cost for this paid at the resort.
We will send you away with a completed referral form which you simply hand to the PADI dive centre abroad so you can complete the four open water dives with them and earn your PADI Open Water certificate. There is a £45 kit hire cost for this course.
